Wood floors require boards of differing lengths in order for the joints in the finished floor to be distributed more or less randomly. This is desirable because if the joints appear at regular intervals, the look of the floor starts to become too uniform and unnatural. However, a good mix of longer boards with shorter ones will produce a cleaner looking and more structurally stable floor. At Floorsave, we supply the longest boards available for solid wood floors, with a 2 metre board in every pack of the following solid wood flooring:
- Brushed and Oiled Rustic Grade European Solid Oak Flooring - 130mm Width - 20mm Thick
- Lacquered Rustic Grade European Solid Oak Flooring - 130mm Width - 20mm Thick
- Lacquered Rustic Grade European Solid Oak Flooring - 150mm Width - 20mm Thick
- Brushed and Oiled Rustic Grade European Solid Oak Flooring - 150mm Width - 20mm Thick
Longer boards also mean a better quality of wood as faults and imperfections in the wood cannot simply be cut out to create shorter boards as is usually the case.
